Near the wild beaches washed by the azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea, a historic town was brought in, famous throughout the region for its charming medieval architecture. The name of this city comes from Latin: Palus (an area full of swamps). Centuries ago, where Pals stands today, there were coastal marshes and small lakes. Nowadays, we can find a beautiful city and the surrounding plantations and farmland, which together create an idyllic picture. Here you must see the Old Town – Barri antic d’el Pedro, with its charming narrow streets. The buildings are made of brown and beige stones, and beautiful, colorful flowers hang from the shutters. Despite all these advantages, not too many tourists reach Pals. Those who are on their way to Pals can count on peace and a unique atmosphere. The biggest attraction in the city is the tower – the first thing you notice when you commute to Pals. It’s called Torre de Homenaje and it is a great viewpoint over both the town and the surrounding area.
