Although you will not find soft, white sand here, and visitors spread their towels over a small stretch of gravel and stones, this beach has something special about it. It’s best to start your tour from Cala d’Aiguafreda (where it’s much easier to leave your car), and then follow the path towards Sa Tuna Bay. There are actually two beaches: one, called Platja Sa Tuna, is surrounded by fishermen’s and summer houses with brown roofs, restaurants and bars, the other is called S’Eixugador, and to get to it, head east of the first. The walk up is worth the effort as the scenery is simply spectacular. Both beaches are not very long, as they are 80 meters each, but their location and surroundings make it necessary to see them with your own eyes. A visit to Sa Tuna should be combined with visiting other interesting places nearby, such as: Sa Riera or Begur.
