1. Sant Pol de Mar

Sant Pol de Mar beach is one of the pearls of the Costa Brava. A beautiful bay with a unique landscape of dunes and shallow, crystal clear waters. It is an ideal place for families with children. The more that on the beach there is a playground for children, Pargue de las Dunas and – in the summer season – there is Club Infantil.

The beach is almost a kilometer long and 25 meters wide. It offers all the amenities; there is a seaside promenade nearby and water equipment rentals, you can go sailing, windsurfing or try water skiing. Or maybe you will go exploring mysterious coves where you can dive and observe the rich underwater life; colorful fish, lush vegetation. The water is so clear that you don’t even need a mask.

2. Cala Sant Francesc, Blanes

Blanes is a lovely fishing village known for its long sandy beaches. It offers all the amenities for a comfortable and safe holiday. The area is full of rocky coves famous for their natural beauty.

Cala Sant Francesc offers calm waters, golden sand, and a quay covered with pine trees. This amazingly picturesque beach is 220 meters long and 35 meters wide. There are showers, toilets, and the possibility of renting water equipment. There are restaurants on the beach where you can go for lunch. There is also a parking nearby. A very convenient place for families with children.

Cala Sant Francesc is also known as “Cala Bona” which translates to “pretty cove”. It is located two kilometers from the center of Blanes, near the beautiful botanical garden of Marimurtra. You can combine sunbathing with a walk in this charming green area.

The beach can be reached via Passeig de Carles Faust, right in front of the port. You will walk through the botanical garden of Marimurtra, Cala Sant Francesc is some 500 meters away. To get there by car, head towards the resort of Lloret de Mar, 100 meters before the signpost for Blanes, turn right at the sign “Urbanizació Cala Sant Francesc”. If you cannot find a free parking space, you can use the underground car park. Alternatively, you can get to the beach by bus.

3. Sa Caleta, Lloret de Mar

The beach is 110 meters long and 15 meters wide. It can be reached from the Sant Feliu de Guixols bay on foot or by car. It is located next to the main beach of the famous resort of Lloret de Mar.

It is located in the province of Baix Empordà, taking you to the past. If you look up you will see Castell de Sant Joan, a medieval castle picturesquely situated on the rocky coast. The beach is known for its golden sand and stunning surroundings, rocky cliffs and great conditions for snorkeling and snorkeling.

4. Cala Giverola, Tossa de Mar

Tossa de Mar has wonderful beaches to offer. About 5 kilometers north of the city center you will find a fairy-tale bay surrounded by vegetation that will enchant you with turquoise-green colors. It has golden, soft sand that invites you to spread out a beach towel.

Cala Giverola is about 170 meters long, and in places it is only 15 meters wide, up to a maximum of 50 meters. Various services and amenities are available on the beach; you can rent sun loungers and umbrellas, there are showers and toilets. Water sports enthusiasts can take advantage of the rental of kayaks and boats to admire the beautiful surroundings from the sea. There are boats with glass bottoms at their disposal. A trip in such a boat and the opportunity to observe the underwater life will provide you with an amazing experience.

If you feel hungry, we recommend paella or fideua on the terrace of one of the surrounding restaurants, which overlooks the entire bay. There are also bars and chiringuitos on the beach. Don’t forget your diving goggles and mask, and if you also have an underwater camera, take one too! Clean and calm coastal waters encourage to penetrate the underwater world. You can also climb the rock and get a glimpse of the stunning surroundings.

The beach is very easy to reach. It is one of the few coves that can be reached so easily by car. The beautiful town of Pola-Giverola is visible from the road between Tossa de Mar and Sant Feliu. There is a parking lot on the beach.

5. Cala Bona, Tossa de Mar

This wonderful cove is about 3 kilometers north of Tossa. It forms a narrow arm, surrounded by a rocky shore, cliffs. There is no place to put a towel on this small beach, but it has great conditions for diving with a mask and a snorkel. Cala Bona is protected from waves and winds by the rocky walls surrounding the bay. The crystal clear waters and the surroundings (rocky walls covered with pine trees) make the place extremely picturesque and giving a sense of intimacy.
