Tossa de Mar

An undisputed showcase and, next to Lloret de Mar, one of the most famous towns on the Costa Brava. However, this is not surprising. Tossa de Mar is the quintessence of everything that is most beautiful on the Spanish “wild coast”. We can find here idyllic coves, raw rocks rising straight from the Mediterranean Sea, beautiful beaches with fine golden sand washed by azure water and a well-preserved old town – Vila Vella. Defensive fortifications from the 12th century, visible from a distance, are the symbol and one of the main attractions of the city. It is worth taking a walk through this medieval wall because then you can admire Tossa de Mar in all its glory, as well as its picturesque surroundings. In the evening, it might be a good idea to visit one of the coastal eateries serving local specialties and enjoy the romantic sunset. Tossa de Mar is one of those places which, despite the crowds of tourists, managed to retain its unique, authentic charm and this is certainly another good reason to come here.
